The rules
Instagram gives you 24 hours.
We tell you so.
After someone messages you, you have 24 hours to write back. After that you cannot, until they send something again. Every tool has to live with this; we put it on screen instead of hiding it.
Why that matters
A five-day sequence sounds great until you notice day three never arrived. With us you see the clock in the conversation, and messages from a sequence wait up to two days for an open window instead of quietly disappearing.
The same honesty applies to comments under a post: you may send someone one private message in response to a comment. One, not three.
Open. Anything can go out, from a flow or from you.
Closing. The inbox counts the hours down, so you see it coming.
Closed. Nothing goes out until they write again.
Four things we do not do
- Meta
Never posing as Meta. We are not a Meta partner and we say so. Instagram is their trademark, not ours.
- Guesses
No made-up answers. If an answer is not in your knowledge base, the AI says someone will get back to them.
- Opt-outs
No messages after STOP. STOP always works, and the opt-out even survives deleting someone's data.
- Your data
Your data leaves with you. You can export everything, and after you cancel it is gone within thirty days.
Questions about this
Can I message everyone at once?
Only people who wrote to you in the last 24 hours. Before you send, you see how many people that is and who falls outside it.
Can a person still answer after the 24 hours?
For a while, yes. Instagram's human agent tag lets a person, not a flow, answer a question someone asked, for up to seven days after their last message. It is for real answers, never for offers or reminders, and the inbox says when a reply is about to go out under it.
What if someone only replies after three days?
Then the conversation simply carries on: their message reopens the window, and anything that was queued still goes out if it is no more than two days old.
Can automation pretend to be a person?
No, and we do not do that. The first automated message in a conversation says an assistant is reading along, in your own words, or in ours if you have not written any. Someone who comes back after a day away is told again, because that is a new conversation.
Could Instagram close my account over this?
Meta can always revoke access. That is why we stay within the limits, never send outside the window, and let you disconnect in one click.
Are you an official Meta partner?
No. Any tool that claims to be is saying something different from us. We work through the official Instagram API and are otherwise independent.
