vs ManyChat
Most people who look for a ManyChat alternative are annoyed about one of two things: the bill goes up as more people talk to them, or the tool can do far more than they will ever need. We are the smaller, narrower answer to both. For plenty of other people ManyChat is still the right tool, and this page says where. It is written by us, about a competitor, so read it that way.

How ManyChat charges
This is the part people come here for, so here it is without spin, in their own words as far as we can quote them.
What an Active Contact is
ManyChat counts a person as active when a message is sent or received through ManyChat in a billing month, whether that came from an automation, their AI, a broadcast or the inbox. One person is one Active Contact for that month, however many messages you exchange.
Each plan comes with a monthly allowance. Go over it and your automations keep running; you pay a per-contact fee for the ones above the line. They let you set a threshold to cap that. On an annual plan the contacts are still counted per month and overages still billed per month.
What their free plan allows
At the time we checked: 25 Active Contacts a month, any two channels, up to four active basic automations, one user, a basic inbox, and ManyChat branding on the messages you send, with no card needed.
Above that there were four paid tiers. The cheaper ones cap how many channels you may connect and how many people can log in; their AI features sit on the higher ones. We quote their bill at three sizes only, with the date we read it, because prices change and a stale table on our site would be a lie told slowly. The current list is at the source: manychat.com/pricing.
Ours works the other way round: you pay for the account and the people on your team, and contacts, messages and flows are unlimited on every plan. What that costs is on our pricing page.
Where ManyChat is the better choice
If any of these matter to you, stop reading and go to them. You will be happier there and we would rather say so now than after you have moved.
- Channels
You need more than Instagram. They run Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, SMS and email in one place. We have Instagram and nothing else.
- Integrations
You want it plugged into everything. Their integrations page lists Zapier, Make, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and more. We have an API and a webhook, and that is it.
- Partner
You want the official stamp. They describe themselves as an Official Meta Business Partner and a TikTok partner. We are not a Meta partner and we never say otherwise.
- Community
You want a crowd to ask. Years of tutorials, agencies who build in it for a living, and a public community forum. With us you get an email back from the person who wrote the code.
Where we are the better choice
- Bill
A bill that does not follow your traffic. Unlimited contacts on every plan. A reel that runs away with itself is a good day, not an invoice.
- One channel
One channel, so one set of rules. Everything in the product assumes Instagram. There is no channel picker, no template that half-works, no setting that only applies to WhatsApp.
- AI
AI that answers from what you wrote. You type what you know into a knowledge base and the AI answers from that. If the answer is not in there it says a person will come back to them, rather than inventing one.
- Builder
A builder that behaves like an editor. Undo and redo, find, multi-select, copy and paste between flows, and sticky notes for the reason a branch exists. Small things you miss badly at twenty steps.
- Inbox
An inbox that tells you the time. Instagram gives you 24 hours to reply. The conversation shows how much of it is left, and says when a reply is going out under the human agent tag. Read the rules page for the whole of it.
- Support
Small enough to answer you. Support here is a person rather than a queue, and usually the person who wrote the part you are asking about.
Things we do not have
A comparison page that only lists wins is an advertisement. If you are moving off ManyChat, these are the things you would be giving up, and none of them are on a roadmap we are willing to promise you a date for.
- WhatsApp, Messenger, TikTok, SMS or email
- Shopify or WooCommerce, a product catalog, or paying inside the chat
- A Zapier or Make app of our own
- A template marketplace
- Agency sub-accounts or white label
- Click-to-DM ad triggers
- A chat widget for your website
- An Android app, or editing flows in the iOS app, which can read and take over conversations
- Any language but English, on the site or in the product
Questions people actually ask
Can I bring my ManyChat flows across?
No. There is no importer, and the two tools do not describe a flow the same way. You rebuild, which for a handful of flows is an afternoon and for fifty is a project you should think twice about.
Do my contacts move with me?
The people do not, in the sense that matters: Instagram decides who you may message, not us, and you may only write to someone whose 24-hour window is open. You can import contact records by CSV, but an old list does not give you permission to message it.
Is there a free plan?
Yes: one Instagram account, one person, and a small monthly allowance of AI replies, with contacts unlimited as on every plan. The exact numbers and what the paid plans cost are on the pricing page, which is the only page here that quotes an amount, so this one cannot go out of date about our own product.
Are you cheaper than ManyChat?
At the sizes we checked, yes: 3,000 people in a month came to €56 on their plan against €29 on our Team plan, and 30,000 to €192 against the same €29, at their published prices on 25 September 2026. With one account and few people, our Free and €9 plans cost less than their cheapest paid plan. If fewer than 25 people write to you in a month, their free plan may be all you need.
Why should I believe your description of them?
You should not, on our word. Everything above was read off their own public pages on the date below and linked, so you can check it in a minute.
Checked September 2026 against ManyChat's own public pages. Their plans, prices and features may have changed since; where we were not sure of something we left it out rather than guess.
